The Brenda Tuxford Gallery

**Gallery Update, October 2025: Our location at 422 1st St. has closed. The Brenda Tuxford Gallery is on hiatus as The Ink People transitions to our new space at 535 5th St. in Eureka! In Spring of 2026 we will be re-opening the gallery at the new location, thank you.

Ink People Center for the Arts’ multi-use exhibition space focuses on creating opportunities for emerging artists.

Group and community arts exhibitions take place year- round. A public call for exhibition proposals is circulated each fall.

Past Tuxford Gallery exhibitions are archived on our website and can be accessed here.

Current and Upcoming Shows:

In(ter)dependence

Local artists with disabilities explore concepts of independence, community, and the contrast between.

Local artists with disabilities were asked to reflect on: What do you think about the concept of independence, or of interdependence (which means a community where everyone supports or relies on each other)?
Is independence always a good thing, or are there times when it is not?
What role have these ideas played in your life, either alone or in contrast to each other?

Opening during Arts Alive on Saturday, July 5th. The exhibition will be on view for the month of July. Gallery open hours are Fridays from noon to 5pm or by appointment, please email GalleryRSVP@inkpeople.org to schedule. The Gallery is open late during Friday Night Markets from 5pm to 8:30pm.
