North Coast Choral Artists

The North Coast Choral Artists is a project designed for experienced choral singers in Humboldt County. Created by Dr. Rachel Samet, Director of Choirs at Cal Poly Humboldt, this project will provide singers in Humboldt with an opportunity to rehearse and perform high quality choral music in an intensive two-week period. Singers will rehearse Monday through Thursday evenings for the last two weeks of June and then give two public performances. Due to the short rehearsal period and the level of music being performed, it is necessary that singers have prior choral experience, and it is highly recommended that participants know how to read music, otherwise they might struggle with the accelerated pace of rehearsals. All rehearsals and performances will take place at Christ Episcopal Church in Eureka. Participants are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances. If you have any conflicts, please discuss with Rachel before registering.

North Coast Choral Artists is a DreamMaker project associated with The Ink People, and is open to experienced choral singers of all ages. We hope that North Coast Choral Artists will help build and further energize the singing community in Humboldt.

Registration fee is $100, which will help to cover the expenses required to produce a workshop of this caliber and scope.

Rehearsals: June 17-20 and 24-27, 2024   7:00-9:15 PM

Performances: Saturday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 30 at 4:00 p.m.
