Kids Art Mission Project
Kids Art Mission Project (KAMP) aims to contribute to the artistic beautification of Eureka, particularly on the perimeter fence of the Eureka Rescue Mission Women’s and Children’s Shelter, by focusing on and including children who are residents of The Mission in creating art panels for fence display. While allowing creative expression for the children and implementing the freedom, whimsy and imagination of art in an otherwise seemingly confining and scary situation, the art panels also serve as a means of privacy and anonymity for those within the fences by creating a colorful, fun barrier between the grounds of The Mission and the street.
