Humboldt Circulo de Hombres
Cultural group based on the healing and emotional wellbeing of BIPOC men. Influences and direction for this project come from indigenous meso-American teachings.
We will establish a Circulo de Hombres in Humboldt county to cultivate the capacity of community leaders in the realm of men's empowerment and healing. Through the creation of Circulos, we would be creating solution-based holistic healing spaces for young and mature Latino/Indigenous men. We believe this to be a direct and compassionate method to help bring about the change in Latino and indigenous toxic gender roles. This method acknowledges historical cultural genocide and confirms the belief that every man is sacred (even when lost). It is our mission to support the healing of those men who have lost their way and to help prevent future generations from taking the same steps
