ASK ME (Art & Science for Kids interested in Media & Education)
MISSION:
The mission of this program is to empower youth and teens by providing them with lessons in art and science to help them better understand their world.
ASK ME currently has four programs
The Young MediaMakers
Teaches how to produce, edit and distribute digital video.
The Young MediaMakers annual Big Screen Showcase (2000)
An annual film festival. See previous winners on www.TheYoungMediaMakers.com
Open to Junior Division ( 8 to 13 years) and Senior Division ( 14 to 22 years) short films under ten minutes. All family appropriate genres accepted. No entry fee. Prizes, fun and further distribution of winners. CALL FOR ENTRY announced in January.
TYMM Work Project (2007)
The Young Media Makers Work Project provides professional client based opportunities for exemplary young producers.
The Ecology & Art Education Program (2004)

Is a guided hands-on place based immersive learning opportunity. Is designed to educate and inspire students to learn about the ecology of the old growth coast redwood forest, the coastal dune biome, the estuarine ecology and coastal forest environments.
