All Star Theatre Arts
All Star Theatre Arts (ATA) is a branch of current DreamMaker, Music Arts Youth Company. Our All Star group is a special musical theatre performance troupe geared towards Humboldt County youth ages 9-Teen.
The mission of this group is to expand performance opportunities for advanced youth performers in Humboldt and beyond! You will see them perform at various local events, such as the Botanical Gardens, school tours, Arts Alive, and many other events in between.
The greater mission of this group is to take performers out to experience, perform, share, and study their art outside of Humboldt County. Our long term goals for travel include destinations such as DisneyLand, Universal Studios, and the MTI Junior Theatre Festival in Sacramento.
As we have already started to do, funds for these trips will be raised by members of the group. Various fundraiser events will be held throughout the year, as well as smaller fundraisers, such as See’s Candy and cookie dough.
ATA will hold an audition annually, giving recreational students from our current youth program an opportunity to work towards a greater goal of joining the All Stars.
ATA is lead by director Sarah Van Dissel, current Music Arts project director Daphne Endert, and Carrie O’Neil. It is our hope that ATA will expand opportunities for our youth.
