Next Generation Eureka
We are a civic group dedicated to engaging young adults in improving Eureka and making it a more appealing place to live. Our primary value is retention of young people and creation of opportunity in our community.
The inspiration for Next Gen Eureka came from collaboration between the City of Eureka and Eureka local Connor Callison, when community development manager Rob Holmlund was searching for a way to get young adults involved and at city council meetings. At the kickoff meeting in January, one hundred young adults between 16-30 years old showed up, interested in improving their home community. "I found a lot of my connection with Next Gen Eureka came from a mission in line with my own personal philosophy: if you love your home, you strive to make it the best it can be." -Cedric Seaman
