Resonance Rising

The goal of this project is to provide instruction to at risk youth in the subject of music, while conforming to the project responsibilities as outlined in the DreamMaker project of The Ink People. This instruction will include, but not be limited to, group presentations, individual instruction, technical analysis and performance appreciation. It is targeted at the population of at risk youth at the Humboldt County Juvenile Hall and Regional Facility.

Since 1994 the RBMB has been beautifying Eureka with public art at no cost to businesses or building owners. The benefits can be seen on walls all over our city and in the lives of the young artists who grew up putting their mark on their town.

Samba da Alegria is a community dance and drum troupe that has evolved over the past 20 years. Alegria welcome's all community members to dance drum and celebrate our COMMUNITY!! Once a year Samba da Alegria brings a new theme new dance new percussion amazing costumes and props. Our soul purpose is to provide a celebration for and with our community.

Sean's Shadows

Sean Powers has been working in Humboldt County as a story-teller illustrator and musician for twenty years. Nine years ago he discovered shadow puppetry as a medium to combine his talents. Since then he has performed at over 60 different schools libraries and theatres throughout northern California. He has created ten different shadow plays based on stories from around the world. In addition to performing Sean teaches workshops about instruments from around the world and instructs children on how to create their own shadow puppet plays.

small town: BIG ART is a celebration of Humboldt County art and artists, inspired by the U.S. Census Bureau finding that Humboldt County, California, has more working artists-per-capita than any other county in the state.

The Steelhead Special is a working class cultural & literary review published on the north coast of California since 1991.

Sundance Ballet Company

The Sundance Ballet Company is the performance dance company of The Dance Scene Studios as of Oct. 2012. Already receiving critical praise for recent choreographic ingenuity and performance quality the company strives to produce innovative productions compensate principle dancers collaborate with other artists tour and give back to the local community as much as possible.

Teenarts is a group in which any Fortuna area teen can be with a small group of others making art You will have access to a huge variety of art supplies for drawing painting mask making beading mixed-media silk painting and more. FREE DROP-IN! We meet every Thursday 4:30-6:00 at the Fortuna United Methodist Church outside classroom at 9th & N St.

The Sustainable Village

The sustainable Village is a 21st Century style agrarian craft based village providing homes and employment to all in need and/or who so wish? Empowering the majority by collaboratively producing the necessities of life via a network of sustainable villages!

The Writing Well

The Writing Well strives to foster personal growth, to enhance the emotional, social, and spiritual health of Humboldt County residents and to promote community integration through the development and sharing of creative writing.
