2 Left Feet


With the help of Ink People a young energetic dancer Lindsay Bonds has resurrected the Two Left Feet Dance Project originally created in 1991 by Bonnie Hossack former director of the defunct Dancenter a Creamery space that was reopened as Redwood Raks by Shoshanna of Middle Eastern dance fame. It is no easy task to pull off the type of evening-length showcase that Two Left Feet promotes. Unique about the project: its community-based structure. The works are not juried.

A.S.K.M.E. (Art & Science for Kids into Media & Education)

The mission of this program is to empower youth and teens by providing them with lessons in art and science to help them better understand their world.

All Are Welcome Community

All Are Welcome is a facilitated artists’ space by and for artists. All people are welcome with the agreement of mutual respect. There is no cost to participants for use of the space. All Are Welcome Arts recognizes the creativity and bright potential of all lives. The space is accessible for people from a variety of economic backgrounds. It is designed to be particularly welcoming to those citizens who do not have homes and to artists who have been marginalized within mainstream society.

All Star Theatre Arts

All Star Theatre Arts (ATA) is a branch of current DreamMaker, Music Arts Youth Company. Our All Star group is a special musical theatre performance troupe geared towards Humboldt County youth ages 9-Teen.

The mission of this group is to expand performance opportunities for advanced youth performers in Humboldt and beyond! You will see them perform at various local events, such as the Botanical Gardens, school tours, Arts Alive, and many other events in between.

Arcata Amusement Institution


The goal of the Arcata Amusement Institution is to provide circus and variety entertainment and workshops for the greater Humboldt County Area. Staff and members working on the project will have an opportunity to develop their performance skills in a professional environment.



Bandemonium promotes Community Music learning opportunities. A friendly safe and low pressure environment to learn music at ones own pace in the company of others doing the same and building community at the same time. Currently based at the Bayside Grange and running from 5 to 9pm on most Sunday afternoons the program consists of an initial 2 hours of people with softer folk oriented string instruments and morphs into 2 hours of alternative brass band music. The Brass Band performs in the community several times a year

Bella Vita Fire Dance


Director Gypsy Bella founded her troupe with a vision of creativity through dance and passion fire. The Bellas light up the night for weddings parties and festivals and also offer classes in Fire Dance Silk Poi and Flow Art.

Blue Lake Artisans Collective

The City of Blue Lake is home to amazing artisans, craftspeople, businesses and civic minded individuals. The formation of a collective is an opportunity to bring them together under an organized umbrella for branding, marketing, and retail purposes. The collective will bring awareness to those “experiences” that one can only find in Blue Lake and will give our artisans a larger audience and presence in the local and regional community.

Brazilian Cultural Arts Center

The mission of the Brazillian Cultural Arts Center is to educate people in the North Coast community about Capoeira and related folkloric dances including samba maculele danca de fogo and danca guerrera. We are dedicated to sharing the culture and history of Brazil with the North Coast community.

Centro del Pueblo

Centro del Pueblo is an idea, and a dream, conceived of for many years by members of the local Latino community as a way to house Latino/Indigena art, culture and services focused around our region’s Latino/Indigena community.

Circus Of The Elements


Circus of the Elements are a multi-talented and multi-dimensional elemental live performance dance troupe. Our goal is to dazzle with our fiery outdoor displays of fire dance and fire art sculptures by bringing fresh choreography to the stage both indoors and out. We bring fire to the aerial as well as to isis wings belly dance hoop dance acro samba styles and more! You can find us every 1st Friday from May to October in Trinidad for Trinidad Art Nights as well as performing at a variety of events and venues. We also produce many of our own events and even do private parties!

Collective 74

Our concept is to create a nonprofit potentially associated with a property in Fieldbrook. Our thought is by doing this we can gather the community to create a variety of projects. Some of our ideas for these projects have been to create community gardens, permanent art structures, aquaponics and earthships on the site along with teaching the community while creating these projects. We would love to be able to create events to fund raise like bbq contest and chili cook offs. We envision bringing artist, visionaries and musicians to hold workshops for the community.

Community Arts Trinidad

The Community Arts Foundation was conceived as a solution to the problem of how to best receive donations for the purpose of funding Trinidad Art Nights. It was named "Community Arts Foundation" as opposed to "Trinidad Arts Foundation" for the purpose of including other community arts events in the future if so destined.

Dance & Drum Humboldt


DDH provides the organization for several educational and performance groups. As the organizing body for Samba da Alegria, the community samba dance and drum troupe, DDH will continue to provide a thrilling parade for the annual North Country Fair. As the creative directors for sambAmore, a private performance group, we will continue to fuse dance and drumming styles to inspire audiences and promote this art form.

Danza Xalxiutlicue/ Kapuli Xalxihutlikue

Danza Xalxiutlicue is an Aztec dance group in Arcata established in 2007. Our goal is to learn and practice the traditional Aztec dances which originated in Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica were passed through generations in Mexico and eventually reached California in the 1970's where they were popularized as a cultural affirmation among Chicano and Mexican-Americans living in the United States. These traditional dances incorporate indigenous culture philosophy spirituality and community regeneration through the transmission of ceremonial dances.

From the vision of Beth V. Stone Speech Pathologist with the PALS program and inspired by her work with one boy and his family – A ballet to bring the full emotional impact of living as an autistic child and living with autistic children through the telling of one boy’s story- his ‘version’ to the community at large. The ballet used as an educational vehicle from which to develop tools and programs for educators and parents.
