The weekly meeting of the Redwood Coast Writers’ Center is on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm.  A suggested donation of $1 is requested to help offset the cost of the room.

Friday mornings from 9:00 am until 10:15 am in the Brenda Gallery. Bring a yoga mat, blanket, and a $9 session fee.

  All artwork being auctioned comes from local collectors’ archived treasures unearthed from basements, attics, storage spaces, etc.  Collectors have gone through their personal collections to find pieces that they’re ready to let move on.

The Silent Auction will take place August 30^th    from 5 to 8 pm in the Tuxford Gallery at The Ink People (between E & F St. on 12th St.) Reception and Celebration will begin at 5:00.  During the celebration, local performance artists will be serving delicate refreshments while providing ambient entertainment. Music and costumes along an old-timey theme will be decorating the auditory and visual space.

It’s early this month … but it’s time to pick up your artwork from the Mixed Match show!  We need the extra time to be ready for our first (annual) Collectors’ Excavation Auction on August 30th.

Create a whole spectrum of color on wool yarn or silk fabrics with dyes from plants, minerals, and an insect!  Create a natural-dyed color wheel to use in your work.  Traditional dye materials such as cochineal, madder, and indigo will be used, as well as fresh wild plants … we will dye all of the colors of the rainbow as well as brown, grey, and a beautiful black.  For more information call Linda Hartshorn at 599-2729.

This is a regular class that meets from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.  This class uses live models.
