May Arts Alive!

In continuation of the Ink People’s annual color-themed show, the Tuxford Gallery welcomes Gold: Studies in Gilding the Lily showing throughout the month of May. All work will explore the color gold and is curated by Kati Texas. The show opens with a reception 6-9 pm during Arts Alive! on Saturday May 3. Come experience what Ink People artists are creating through the inspiration of gold color.

Also beginning this Arts Alive!, local students will share their insights on the topic of driving safety in the Brenda gallery. The Drive Safe — Drive Smart High School Poster Contest invited young people to join in the discussion of how we can work together to keep each other safe in cars. Forty-nine entries were received from students across the county. The top ten entries were selected by a panel of judges. The students from the Ink People’s Rural Burl Mural Bureau will also have an installation in the gallery. The event will offer the public a unique opportunity see the creativity and insight of some very talented local youth.
