Local Artists Make $30,213!

The Ink People Center for the Arts Holiday Gift Fair, in its new location and new date, resulted in sales amounting to $30,213.00. The 57 vendor tables included a wide range of handcrafted artwares. And there was quite a range: ceramics, silkscreen and litho artprints, t-shirts, silver and gold jewelry, weaving, and many one-of-a-kind items.

As in the past the live music included many local musicians and music styles. This year there was a focus on local songwriters.

After 4 happy years the Holiday Gift Fair moved from the Municipal Auditorium to the Adorni Center. More important the date changed. The rain was always a factor before. The weather this year was, in a word, GREAT!

Not only did the artists have a relatively prosperous time (there have been better years), but the weather was perfect on Sunday. The spirits were especially high when Rose Bell’s son announced here birthday, she was 100 years old! Needless to say she made us all feel good with her own high spirits and energy. She even danced.

A big thanks to all who helped support this year’s Holiday Gift Fair.
